Carrie brings more than seven years of experience in environmental resource management, land use planning, and project management to her role as Senior Planner at Mat-Su Valley Planning for Transportation. With a deep commitment to collaborative and community-centered problem-solving, she’s looking forward to drawing on her experience in support of MVP’s mission to foster safe, connected, and efficient transportation systems that reflect community needs and values.

Prior to joining MVP, Carrie worked for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) as a Planning and Environmental Coordinator and Project Manager. In this role, she oversaw a diverse portfolio of infrastructure, land use planning, restoration, and policy development projects. Carrie’s professional background is grounded in the belief that effective planning happens at the intersection of policy, place, and people. She is excited to apply her public-sector experience to regional transportation planning and help advance MVP’s mission to build a connected, efficient, and resilient transportation network across the Mat-Su Valley.

Carrie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Whitman College and a Master of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Alaska Anchorage, where she focused on cultural resource management and industrial archaeology. A proud Alaskan resident for more than a decade, Carrie spends her free time adventuring in the outdoors by bike, on foot, or on skis. She also enjoys exploring Alaska’s vibrant arts, food, and cultural scene
