30 Day Public Comment for MatSu 2050 is Now Open!

The 30-day public comment period is now underway for MatSu Valley Planning for Transportation’s MatSu 2050. MatSu 2050, the area’s first Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP), is the Mat-Su Valley's 20+ year roadmap for building a safe, connected, and thriving transportation future through 2050. This long-range transportation plan guides federal transportation investments based on community needs and realistic funding. We want to hear from you!

MatSu 2050 identifies the region’s transportation goals, priorities, and projects for the future. Having an adopted MTP unlocks federal funding. Projects must be included in the MTP to receive federal dollars. Without this plan, we lose access to millions for road improvements, safety upgrades, and infrastructure.
