What is the UPWP?

The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) outlines the studies, data collection, and planning activities MVP will complete over a two-year period.

It serves as MVP’s operating budget and ensures federal transportation planning funds are used effectively to support the region’s goals.

The current UPWP includes core MPO functions such as transportation planning, data analysis, public engagement, and regional coordination.

These activities lay the groundwork for major efforts like the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
