Anjie brings over 10 years of strategic leadership and operations management to her role as Transportation Planning Manager at MatSu Valley Planning for Transportation (MVP). With a passion for community engagement and organizational excellence, she's excited to support MVP's mission of connecting the MatSu Valley through thoughtful transportation planning and is thrilled to connect with the community through her work at MVP.

Her diverse background spans recreational management, emergency services, and resort operations—from leading teams of 200+ at Vail Resorts to coordinating wildland fire response with Alaska Fire Service. This unique blend of experience has equipped her with exceptional skills in stakeholder relations, project management, and crisis coordination that directly translate to the dynamic world of transportation planning and community outreach.

A proud Alaska returnee, Anjie previously lived in Fairbanks where she worked seasonal positions with Alaska Fire Service as a wildland firefighter and dispatcher. She's thrilled to be back in the Last Frontier, now calling the MatSu Valley home. Her return to Alaska represents both a personal homecoming and a professional commitment to serving the communities that have shaped her love for this remarkable state.

Anjie holds a Master's in Adaptive Outdoor Education and a Bachelor's in Kinesiology from California State University, Chico, where she was also a four-year NCAA Division II soccer player. Her commitment to inclusive community programming and her belief that organizational success comes from empowered, passionate team members drives her approach to both administrative excellence and strategic communications at MVP.

When she's not working on transportation initiatives, you'll find Anjie, her partner Matt, and her golden retriever Nala exploring Alaska's incredible trails, rivers, and lakes—embracing all the outdoor adventures the state has to offer while staying connected to the landscapes and communities that make the MatSu Valley unique.
