Public Comment Process

Understanding the Public Comment Process

Public input is a vital part of our planning process. When draft plans and reports are ready for review, we open a public comment period—typically lasting 30 to 45 days—to gather feedback from the community.

We’ll notify the public through a variety of channels, including:

  • Local newspapers such as the Frontiersman

  • Social media platforms

  • Community bulletin boards and other public notice outlets

During the comment period, all feedback received will be logged, reviewed, and thoughtfully addressed. Your input helps shape the final version of each document before it is presented to the Technical Advisory Committee and Policy Board for final review and approval. Stay connected and make your voice heard—your feedback helps guide the future of transportation in our region.

For more information on the public comment process, including timelines and how the MPO engages with the public, please refer to the Public Participation Plan.
